Reasons Not to Drive When You Go Out Partying – Aside from the Obvious

December 21, 2022

When you go out partying, you want to let loose – you don’t want to think about work or any of the other stresses of your day-to-day life. All you want to do is relax, have fun with your friends and leave all your responsibilities until the next day.

Not only is it fun to do this from time to time to relieve a bit of stress, but it’s really important too. However, the most important part is making sure that when you go out, you do so safely.

Driving is always the first thing that comes up, and rightfully so. Drinking and driving is never a good idea, for obvious reasons – driving drunk is incredibly dangerous and potentially life threatening. You risk not only your own life, but those of others too.

However, there are other reasons that you should opt not to drive when you go out partying. Here are a few reasons you should rather pay for a ride rather than jump behind the wheel.

You Want to Relax

Even if you’re not drinking – you’re having a sober night out – partying still puts you in a different mindset. You’re relaxed, you’re having as much fun as when you play at Black Lotus casino, and your mind is on having a good time. Therefore, being responsible may not be your top priority. So rather than having to drive home at the end of the night, and potentially be responsible for not only yourself but your friends too, rather allow yourself to relax completely and let somebody else do the driving.

Other People May Be Driving Dangerously

When you’re on the road late at night, you risk being on the road alongside other people who may not have made the right decisions when it comes to drinking and driving. So if you can avoid driving at all, that would be best – if it’s safe and reliable, use public transport like a train or a tube. Alternatively, avoid driving too far, even if you’re not behind the wheel, late at night. Rather, opt to stay at a friend’s place closer to where you’re partying and choose to drive home the next day instead.

You’re Probably Going to Be Tired

When it comes to getting behind the wheel, being drunk or under the influence of other substances isn’t the only thing to be worried about. In fact, many will argue that the most dangerous thing of all is being tired.

Driving while tired, whether it’s a little bit or a lot, can seriously impair your senses and result in you being far less alert. Your reaction times will be severely affected and your ability to drive properly and safely will simply not be what it normally is. Of course, the most extreme scenario would involve you falling asleep behind the wheel, but it doesn’t always have to be that extreme.

Of course, it’s no secret that if you’re out partying, even if you aren’t drinking, you’re likely to be out late and be tired. Thus, the best solution is always not to drive home and make alternative plans instead.

The Need to Spend Time with the People You Love Even on a Short Weekend

November 9, 2019

You work hard so you can give your family what they want. There are times when you don’t get enough sleep anymore because you keep working. You aim for a promotion or a salary bump, so money won’t be a big problem anymore. It’s a good thing that you have a huge heart for the special people in your life and you try everything to provide for them. However, in the process, you might lose your time to be with them. As such, whenever you have the chance, you need to grab it. Even on a short weekend, you can try activities that the entire family can enjoy.

Your kids are growing up

Given how busy you are, you already don’t have time with your children. You don’t realize that they’re quickly growing up. They’re not the same people anymore. You don’t want them to grow up without any understanding of what they like to do. Your distance due to the lack of time spent with each other could impact your relationship.

It’s a rare chance

There are several instances when you have to work overtime. You have no choice because there are pending tasks to finish and deadlines to meet. If you have a weekend with nothing to do, you have to grab the chance to be with your kids. It’s even better if there’s a long weekend.

You don’t need a grand plan

Since you only have a few days, there’s no need for you to come up with a huge plan to travel to distant locations. You can do fun activities at home. The goal is for you to enjoy having time with each other. Another option is to rent a large house nearby. There are more things you can do as a family with a large house to rent. You can check out thewowhousecompany.co.uk if you want to start choosing now.

Life is short

You think that you have all the time in the world for the people you love. You keep working hard in the hope that one day, you can rest and be with them. At that point, things will already have changed. Your kids will have already grown up and now have their own interests. You will no longer be as physically fit as you used to be. Given these changes in circumstances, you won’t have the same chances anymore.

The point is that while your family is with you and you can afford to spend time with them, you have to do it. You don’t want to regret your decisions later in life. You might achieve your financial goals, but you might have a terrible relationship with your children. Even your marriage could be on the line because of how much time you spend at work.

Always remember that whatever task you have to finish, it can wait. You can also improve your time management skills, so you don’t need to work overtime or during the weekends.

During your drive, you’ll pass through the charming small towns of Kinsale, Ballinspittle, and Timoleague. It’s well worth stopping at one of the seafood shops which you’ll no doubt drive past as all three towns are known for producing mouth-watering fresh seafood dishes.

Better yet, several times throughout your drive you’ll be treated to phenomenal sea views as parts of this popular driving route.

Lastly, if you’re flexible about the time of year which you complete this route, it may be worth timing your trip so that you’ll be in Cork on the second Sunday of June. Which is when the annual Cork Harbour Festival takes place.

The drive between Baltimore and Mizen Head is around 58 km and traverses a rugged, windswept region of Ireland. It’s well worth completing this particular drive during summer when purple gorse covers the nearby hills.

The best part of completing this particular drive is getting to walk down the Mizen Head sea cliffs. Just be sure to save plenty of energy to climb back up the countless steps, which will lead you back to your car, which you can park at the top of Mizen Head, where you’ll find a handy car park.

Looking Good in Your New Car

December 19, 2018

When it comes to turning heads and catching attention for the right reasons, nothing does it like a great looking car. There is something about the best cars that make people stop and look. What is also true is that they make anyone who is in them cool by association. If you have just picked up a new ride and are ready to head out, then pause for a minute first. To make the most impact, it is worth thinking about what you will bring to the party – what will you do to look as good as the new car you are driving?

Tips on looking cool in your new motor

If you are needing a few tips on looking great when you hit the streets in your new car then the below should help:

  • Get the car right first – it’s a simple tip but make sure the car you have is the coolest you can get. After all, no-one is going to look bad in a McLaren P1 or a Lamborghini Aventador are they? While they may be out of your price range, make sure you pick something that has some street cred and looks awesome. That will in turn make you look awesome when you drive it. Make sure to keep your car waxed and shiny for maximum impact as you roll.

  • Wear the right clothes – the next tip to look good in your new car is to think about what to wear when driving. This should be funky and cool but also suitable for the place you are using it in. If the gym is your most frequent hang-out joint, then why not combine cool clothing with practical elements? Tommie Copper are a brand of compression wear clothing that can be worn anytime and helps to support your body when working out – check out their Twitter account for more details. Their range of compression wear not only works to reduce stiffness after exercising but will also make you look cool when in your car.

  • Wear sunglasses – a great looking pair of fabulous sunglasses will give you a celeb style look and make you instantly cooler when in your new ride.

  • Bring the right attitude – being cool when behind the wheel is as much about your attitude as anything else. Make sure you are not a buffoon but still bring the right amount of swagger and charisma to your driving exploits. Think Steve McQueen in Bullitt rather than Will Ferrell in Talladega Nights. Having the right kind of attitude will not only make you look cool to others but also make you feel great when driving.

Looking good and cars just go together

This is the real secret when thinking about looking good when driving. Cars are just cool and sexy – as long as you get the right one! If you have recently brought a new car and want to find ways to do it justice, then the above should help.
